Tree Care Tips & Additional Information

DO YOU HAVE FREE WOOD CHIPS?
Most of our wood chips are taken to local farms & nurseries, because they often need multiple truck loads during the growing season.
When we have extra wood chips, we can deliver truck loads of wood chips to existing customers from Mountain Tree Care with a 10 yard minimum.
Must be flexible on delivery time and date, and have a place ready to dump chips.
$25 delivered, within 20 minutes of Valmont & 55th only. (Boulder, Niwot, Louisville, Lafayette, Erie).
Will waive fee for large quantities of chips, 5 loads or more.

Winter Watering
Colorado's dry winter climate can be stressful for landscape trees and already stressed natural trees.  Fluctuating temperatures, lack of snow cover and windy conditions contribute to low soil moisture, which can cause injury to root systems.  When the ground is free of snow and temperatures are above 40 degrees trees can be watered using a soaker hose or watering spike.  It's best to water mid-day so the water has time to soak in before freezing.

Mulching
One of the easiest and most effective steps you can take to benefit the health of your trees is applying an organic mulch.  Among the benefits of mulching the area inside the dripline of the tree is water conservation, addition of nutrients to the soil, better soil aeration, and protection from lawnmower or string trimmer damage.
